Overview

The BIMM Institute is a group of eight independent colleges with over 6,500 students that specialise in the area of British Modern Music education. Currently located in London, Berlin, Hamburg, Dublin, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol and Brighton, all colleges focus on full-time further and higher-education courses in guitar, drums, bass, song writing, vocals, music production, music business event management, music journalism, live sound, tour management and music teacher training.

BIMM degree courses are validated by one of the world’s leading universities – University of Sussex. The lead patron of the BIMM Group is Roger Daltrey from The Who.

Due to BIMMs global reputation, (over 1,200 overseas students from across the world), the college also attract artists from the top bands to give masterclasses (Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, Radiohead, Pink Floyd and many, many more). There are usually two or three masterclasses per week as well as many other student events including music industry sessions and live gigs in the city of each campus.

From a survey of our students who graduated in 2017, 83% are working in the music and creative industries six months after graduation.

Services for International Students

The student support services team offers a wide range of information and advice including accommodation, travel, local services and living costs.

Accommodation

Although the colleges themselves do not offer accommodation, many have links with local providers of student housing and bedsits. All eight colleges are located in large cities, so accommodation is generally plentiful.

Location

Location is vital to breaking into the music industry and BIMM has eight colleges where music matters most – London, Berlin, Hamburg, Brighton, Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham and Dublin.

Breckett Front  My consultant was very helpful and motivating. She helped me every step of the way, even when the deadline was so close. I feel I could not have done it without her. I'd highly recommend this service to any and all of my many friends interested.  Breckett Front
