We’re all about GREat Skills! If you participate in our GREat Skills programme before you join us at the university, you could be eligible for a scholarship worth £2,000.

We want to reward local students who prepare well for university by developing their independent learning and study skills before they start with us.

If you participate in our academic skills programme before you join the university, you may be eligible for a substantial cash scholarship of £2,000.

This is paid to you in three instalments during your first year.

Am I eligible?

You will need to meet the following criteria to be eligible for the GREat Skills Scholarship:

  • You have been nominated by a member of staff at your institution

  • You are a local student living in London, Kent or Medway, Essex, Sussex or Surrey or are a Child in Care/Care Experienced student under a Local Authority within one of these locations.

  • You have received an offer to study a full-time undergraduate course (including extended programmes) at our Greenwich, Avery Hill or Medway Campus (excluding the Medway School of Pharmacy), which commences in September 2022.

  • You are a new full-time undergraduate student paying the maximum tuition fee of £9,250

  • You have completed at least 4 sessions of our GREat Skills programme, or 3 sessions plus our online Independent Learners' Toolkit. Live webinars do count as attendance, however, use of pre-recorded webinar resources do not count towards attendance.

The deadline for applications is 31 May 2022.
