Lancaster University Scholarships

You will qualify for a Lancaster University Scholarship if:

  • You are an undergraduate applicant from the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man, and you are eligible to pay ‘Home’ fees
  • You achieve the required level in your GCSE and A level results, or accepted equivalent qualifications
  • You make Lancaster University your firm UCAS choice

If you are starting in 2019 or 2020, our scholarships are:

  • £1,000 Lancaster Scholarship for applicants who achieve AAA at A level and have at least 5 GCSE’s grade A/7 or above. This is awarded in each year of study, subject to progression.
  • £2,000 Lancaster Scholarship for applicants who achieve A*A*A at A level and have at least 5 GCSE’s grade A/7 or above. This is awarded in the first year of study only.

You may be awarded both scholarships, meaning that if you are eligible for the £2,000 Scholarship you will also be eligible for the £1,000 Scholarship.

You will be eligible for scholarships based on your year of application, even if you defer your place to another year of entry.

All grade conditions must be met or exceeded, we do not consider tariff point equivalencies as part of our consideration. For example, A*AB will not be considered as meeting the criteria for the £1,000 Lancaster Scholarship.
