Leo Tong Chen is a Saïd Business School alumnus who completed the MBA programme in 2001. Tong Chen was a young entrepreneur when he joined the MBA programme and went on to found dGav Capital, a venture capital investment management firm focusing on the new material, new energy, electronic vehicles, environment protection, healthcare, biotechnology and artificial intelligence sectors. 

In 2017, Tong Chen felt he was now at the point in his career where he was able to give something back. Powered in partnership with the Rewley Fund (formerly Alumni Annual Fund), the Oxford-Leo Tong Chen Scholarships were established to support exceptional candidates.

Value

£15,000 per scholarship.

Number available

A total of six scholarships are available, with a preference for three scholars who are ordinarily resident in China.

Eligibility criteria

Candidates must be ordinarily resident in one of the following countries: 

  • China

  • USA

  • United Kingdom

  • Australia

  • New Zealand

Selection criteria

Awarded on the basis of academic excellence demonstrated through degree results, GMAT or GRE score, previous university prizes and awards, and other academic achievements.
