The Lisa Wilson Scholarship Fund is available to help young people with the cost of higher education.

There are four scholarships for new students applying to FdA, HND or BA/BSc degree courses. The scholarships are available to students who have overcome adversity and can demonstrate why they need extra financial help with their studies.

The scholarship funding will be up to a maximum of £1,000 per year. This would be renewed annually.

To be considered for a scholarship applicants must:

  • be a UK home student,
  • have been accepted for a place on a FdA, FdSc, HND or degree course at Solent University,
  • state in writing the adversity they have overcome and demonstrate why they need extra financial support,
  • provide a letter of support from their Sixth-form or FE college tutor or if not at college and employed, from current Employer.

The award will be made in November and cannot be used in conjunction with any other scholarship, bursary or fee discount.
