Each year we offer a range of subject scholarships to international master’s students. They are awarded based on academic merit. You can get a maximum of £9,000, which will be deducted from your tuition fees.
Level of study
This scholarship is for postgraduate master’s study.
Subject areas
This scholarship is for study across a range of subject areas. The following courses are not eligible:

PGCert or PGDip programmes

Distance Learning programmes

Programmes offered at a partner institution or overseas campus

Postgraduate taught programmes in the School of Engineering, School of Physics and Astronomy or School of Electronics and Computer Science
What is covered
This scholarship provides a discount of up to £9,000 on your tuition fees. The amount you’ll get depends on the course you are studying and the grades you got in your undergraduate studies. Full details are shown in the table below.

Who can apply
To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

be classed as an international student
-
be paying your fees yourself
-
hold a conditional or unconditional offer from Southampton
-
be studying on an eligible course
-
meet the academic requirements
-
pay any required deposit by the date shown on your offer letter
-
For the scholarships in Southampton Business School and the Faculty of Arts and Humanities listed above, students from mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau are not eligible. A separate Postgraduate Taught Excellence in English scholarship is instead offered, at a maximum of £3,000 based on English proficiency results.
