This year, in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, Staffordshire University are offering two international scholarships – one to applicants from China, and one to applicants from Malaysia. These scholarships are open to any passport-holding citizen of these countries applying for a postgraduate taught programme of study at Staffordshire University.
This scholarship is part of the “GREAT Scholarships 2020”, which has been launched by the British Council together with 36 UK universities to support more students to access excellent UK higher education opportunities.
The total value of the scholarship programme is over £800,000 and offers an exciting opportunity for international students from China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Turkey to get financial support to pursue postgraduate study in the United Kingdom. Students can apply for course in a range of subjects at the 36 participating institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Successful students will receive the funds as a £10,000 reduction in their tuition fees for their Master’s Taught course.

How can I apply?
In order to be considered for the Staffordshire University – GREAT Scholarship (China and Malaysia), you need to have received and accepted an offer of a place on a full Masters’ degree.
To apply for the GREAT scholarship, you are required to provide a statement of academic interests. There are three questions (200 words maximum for each question) which students will need to complete. The questions are:
To be considered, students you will need to demonstrate excellent grades in your most recent qualifications. You do not need to have completed your qualifications, however, as we can make conditional scholarship offers.
How will I receive the scholarship?
Successful students will receive the funds as a £10,000 reduction in their tuition fees for their Master’s Taught course. We will let applicants know if they have been successful by Friday 29th May 2020 via email and further details of how this is applied will be provided at this point.
