What are the criteria?
To obtain a bursary, you must meet at least one of the criteria below:
Those with a proven household income of £30,000 per annum or less
Those who have been in care any time prior to applying to UA92
Those living within traditionally low Higher Education Participation postcode areas, as defined in POLAR 4, Quintiles 1 and 2
Have been classed as a looked after child/former looked after child any time prior to applying to UA92
*Are a carer, estranged from your family, from Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities, a refugee or are a child of an armed forces family*
What is the value and how do I apply?
£1,000 (first year of study) for students starting in September, November or January.
There is no need to apply, we will use data available to us from your application to determine your eligibility.
For the groups with the Asterix, there is a short application process centred on you providing us with evidence.
Note: data is provided via SLC. If students aren’t registered for student finance this will need to be done manually.

For UK students, payments are made as follows based on when you start your degree;
What are the conditions?
Students can only be awarded one bursary however this can be combined with one scholarship
Only applicable to UK students
Available to UK students starting a full time, 3 year degree in September, November or January.
Any potential payment will be subject to satisfactory attendance levels and receipt of tuition fees.
