UWE Bristol is a thriving, modern university, offering a wide range of highly respected courses and employment-enhancing opportunities. UWE Bristol has 14 different departments, spread across three campuses in and around Bristol, as well as further locations in Gloucester and Hartpury College. UWE Bristol have also heavily invested in the latest facilities and resources to give students access to everything they need to succeed – with £200m set to be spent on new state-of-the-art learning spaces and accommodation between now and 2020.
Alongside teaching, UWE Bristol academics are working on nationally and internationally-renowned research in many interesting areas – from robotics to appearance issues. The University ensure its research contributes to society and the economy through knowledge exchange, science communication, partnerships and supporting business innovation and growth. UWE also play a very active role in our city and wider region, and are seen by many employers and organisations as the ‘go to university’ for graduate recruitment.
UWE Bristol offers an airport pickup service for new students in both January and September, and orientation events during the first weeks of term. Students can also take free English language courses provided by the Centre for English Language and Academic Skills courses throughout the year.
UWE Bristol guarantees university-approved accommodation for all full-time students who submit an accommodation application by June deadline each year. There are around 4,500 rooms available in total and all UWE Bristol-owned accommodation includes overnight security, wifi, contents insurance and launderette facilities.
UWE Bristol is based in the south-west’s largest city, Bristol, which is a thriving economic and creative city. Bristol was voted 'Britain’s most liveable city' by The Sunday Times in 2015 and 2017 and it is the ideal place to live and study, with its rich history, vibrant culture and nearby countryside and coast. It is also a top retail destination, with a great selection of independent shops, cafes, and restaurants.
Bristol is ideally located just 90 minutes by train to London and 15 minutes to Bath. The city has an international airport which provides routes to most major European destinations.
