The Summer Fashion School London is exactly that. Based in Chelsea we offer two age-specific 7 day intensive residential/non-residential fashion programmes designed to give you a real insight into the many aspects of the fashion industry. You will have access to unique learning experiences including workshops, masterclasses, talks from high-ranking industry professionals and entrepreneurs covering areas such as buying, merchandising and trend analysis.
You will fast track your skills, enhance your experience, increase your knowledge base and take your first steps towards creating a fashion portfolio. Whether you are a fashion beginner or taking your first steps towards a career in fashion, you will be welcomed into our school’s friendly, safe and inclusive family.
Based in Kensington and Chelsea College in fully equipped studios with industry experts and tutors from design, manufacture and merchandising. You will visit museums, go on exclusive tours of designer studios and manufactures, and attend CV and career talks.
Come away having made your design as an outfit and the start of your fashion portfolio. There will be nutritious food and 24-hour pastoral care at our beautiful halls of residence at Lightfoot Hall, with views across London.
All our activities and venues are staffed 24 hours a day, for the duration of the programme, to ensure the highest student safety; our team are always close by should we be needed.
We offer Gatwick Airport arrival and departure transfer to/from our accommodation. This includes your own personal chaperone who will accompany you from the moment you arrive.
We do ask that international students must have a good understanding of the English language to be able to follow our lessons and talks. We recommend that you hold a B1 or above in an English Language Qualification. For more information, please do visit our website.
Lightfoot Hall is situated in one of the most desirable areas in London, just off King’s Road in Chelsea, and is within walking distance of some of London’s most iconic fashion landmarks: close to Harrods and Sloane Street (Gucci, Chanel, Prada, Valentino) – perfect for our fashion research, garment factory visits and industry talks.
It’s a friendly and relaxed environment as we discuss projects, watch films and bond as a group. The two large common rooms mean you’ll always be able to find somewhere for a chat or a quiet area in which to research and develop your designs.
The Hall is completely protected with an on-site 24 hour security team who monitor the building to ensure you feel safe and secure at all times. There will also be 24 hour dependable pastoral care to ensure you feel welcome, inspired, supported and included. If you have a problem, feel unsure or a little lonely, we are here for you at all times.
Our accommodation at Lightfoot Hall and studio space at Kensington and Chelsea College are within walking distance in Chelsea. Therefore, there is no need to travel via underground, coach etc each day.
As we are in the heart of London, we will have more time to visit the V&A’s fashion collection and exhibition, The Fashion & Textiles museum, a high-end garment manufacturer, a fashion designer’s studio and Central Saint Martins, a prestigious fashion University, for an exclusive tour.
