Overview

We know that children learn effectively when they are happy and motivated, so we seek to provide a lively, challenging education in a safe and nurturing environment. We have high expectations for excellent academic achievement and for enthusiastic involvement in extra-curricular activities. We are proud of our reputation as a friendly school with a family atmosphere, where we know our girls and boys well. By valuing each pupil in our care, we help them develop the skills and independence to attain their goals.

Boarding at St Edmund’s offers a family experience which values the individual, whilst offering a collaborative and stimulating environment for pupils from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures. Boarders live in the main school building giving easy access to all facilities including purpose built recreational areas.

We offer rich academic and cultural experiences, which encourage children to achieve their potential, wherever their talents and interests lie. Our pupils leave us well-educated, well-balanced and confident young people who go on to some of the finest universities.

The School is located on a beautiful site overlooking the vibrant, historic city of Canterbury ideally situated in south of England with fast rail and road links to London and Europe.
