Established in 1964, Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) is one of the few schools in the world which holds quadruple accreditation including the AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS.

According to the Global Financial Times 2017 MBA ranking, the Lancaster MBA is ranked 6th in the UK and 42nd globally. MSc Management at the LUMS is ranked 9th best in the UK and MSc Finance is ranked 5th best in the UK.

LUMS is truly a diverse business school with nearly 92% of students from international countries (2014 class profile), and LUMS is also well-known for its accounting and finance programme which was ranked 6th in the UK by CUG 2018. It is also ranked 5th best in the UK for marketing, and 11th best for business and management.

Lancaster University accommodation has won ‘Best University Halls’ in the National Housing Student Survey for the last six years, and they are just one of only three other institutions who have achieved the International Accommodation Quality Mark, awarded where satisfaction among international students was at 90% or higher.


Lancaster is in the north west of England, and is connected to Manchester International Airport by a one-hour rail link. There are also direct rail links between Lancaster and London, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Oxford and major cities in Scotland.
